
Walker is an APHA registered appendix gelding. Walker is western pleasure trained having shown and collected a few ribbons and accolades. Walker spends his days teaching beginner and intermediate riders horsemanship skills.

Rooster is a double registered APHA/Pinto red roan gelding. Rooster specializes in beginners and those with confidence or anxiety issues. If the rider has the mental and physical ability, Rooster will do anything in the world for them. Rooster is also an accomplished jumper used in our jumping program.

Toby is an American Quarter Horse and has been an OWS lesson horse for over seven years. Toby specializes in beginners and stands ready to teach riders the basics and fundamentals of horsemanship. Toby is used for all levels of riders and disciplines to include barrels/poles, jumping and roping.

Loki is a Mustang gelding Old Wire Stables adopted and he has proven his worth. Loki gives intermediate and advanced riders a fun lesson every time. He is used primarily in teaching fundamentals but is also used for both western sport and English Jumping.

Cash is an Appaloosa gelding who is sweet and gentle. Cash is used to teach beginners and all levels of riders the basics of horsemanship. Cash is primarily a Western discipline horse but has been known to jump for the right riders.

Rio is a BLM adopted Mustang that came to Old Wire Stables wild and untouched. Charlie and Emily gentled and trained him and he is now used for all levels of riders. Rio can run barrels or jump in both Western and English disciplines.

Bailey is a Jockey Club registered Off the Track Thoroughbred gelding. He is sweet but powered up and always ready to teach Intermediate and advanced riders horsemanship and jumping. Bailey has earned quite a few students some ribbons over the years and will continue to do so.

Mojo is a quarter horse and the distant cousin of Kimbar. Mojo is young but fun and eager to please. He specializes in intermediate riders in basic equitation.

Rhythm "Rye" is an Appendix mare built for speed and agility. Rye came to ows in March of 2026. Rye is green but will be used for intermediate riders building on their fundamentals training.

Levi is a quarter horse and has been a ranch horse before making his way to Old Wire Stables. He is a sweet in your pocket pony. Levi is fast and ready to teach riders the basics of horsemanship, running barrels, pole bending and even the occasional jump.

Percy is quarter horse sorrel gelding. Percy is on loan to ows and is used for students of varying levels. Percy is good at barrels and roping.

Funny Face is an APHA quarter horse gelding trained here at Old Wire Stables. Funny specializes in intermediate riders in basic equitation.

Kimbar is an APHA solid class paint gelding. Kimbar is Mr. Charlie's horse used for teaching from the saddle and exhibition.
